IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT A PAYMENT TO BUSINESSES The announcement made by the government on 30th March 2020, introduces a subsidy program to support employees and businesses. It is available to businesses suffering a reduction in turnover of 30% or more compared with the same period last year. It is referred to as The JobKeeper Payment and amounts to $1500 per fortnight, per eligible employee. The first step is for the employer to register an intention to apply on the ATO website.
