JobKeeper Payment Rules

JobKeeper Payment Rules

The first question for a business to answer about JobKeeper is regarding eligibility.

This relates to a decline in turnover of a minimum of 30% ( e.g. March 2019 turnover compared with March 2020 turnover).

If you believe your business is eligible you need first to Register your business for JobKeeper Payment through the ATO website. Next step is to complete a form for all eligible employees.
Please use the JobKeeper Employee Nomination Form for each employee. These forms are retained by the employer.

To obtain the Government JobKeeper payment, the eligible employees must be paid a minimum of $1,500 (before tax) per fortnight BEFORE the end of April. THAT IS A MINIMUM OF $3000 GROSS FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL. This will be reimbursed by the Government from the first week of May.
